Road Trauma Services

  • A confidential counselling service to members of the Sunshine Coast community who have been involved in been witness to or lost a loved one in a road trauma
  • As well as supporting the organisation in achieving its primary aim, RTSQ offers a Safe Driver Program via correspondence for driving offenders who have been directed by the courts or by their legal representatives Approximately 6000 people, from the Sunshine Coast and Gympie region, have attended workshops in the past commencing in December 2006 . Sadly these workshops can no longer continue due to rising costs of venue hire, however we now have our programs available via correspondence with great reviews and success.
  • Trained RTSQ volunteers also attend Youth Justice Conferences, in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast region, to assist young people charged over road incidents.
  • RTSQ Inc. was established in late 2002, modeled on the Road Trauma Support Team formed in Tasmania in 1989. The primary aim of the organisation is to provide a free, confidential counselling service to members of the Sunshine Coast community who have been involved in, been witness to, or lost a loved one in a road trauma incident. To date, RTSQ has provided counselling to hundreds people affected by road trauma, with the majority of these occurring in the past two years. And it continues.

Mission Statement: Engage the emotional conscience of the driving community to take personal responsibility in reducing road carnage and honour our commitment to the youth of Australia.

Or perhaps you've supported a favourite charity all your life and would like to continue that support after you've gone. You can find out how to do this by clicking the here. Charities play a vital role in filling the gaps that governments and society have overlooked and they depend on your support to help lessen the effects this can have.We thank you for your generosity.
